Marley is a 21-year-old Standardbred who raced for a brief time and before life-long occupation of being a broodmare. Her US Trotting profile states that she was mom to 12! Marley unfortunately found herself in a kill pen in Pennsylvania, which is where the Standardbred Retirement Foundation and HHSMI was able to rescue her. Marley has the most delightful puppy dog personality and enjoys scratches, pets, and treats. In her foster home, she is low in the herd order. She has wonderful ground manners and stalls, cross ties, and stands for the farrier. You may notice her back hocks are arthritic from early training days and the bodily toll carrying 12 foals takes. Marley is approved for walk-only riding or to be a companion. She has passed her road and trail safe tests. Marley also has been reintroduced to ground driving and would be suitable for walk-only driving or pulling the family sleigh for rides!
